Oh my stars. I hadn't seen little Ms. Piper since she was a bitty newborn and my goodness what a doll she is. Her mama and daddy were going on about what a sweet and precious baby she is and how she makes everyone around her smile and they were absolutely right. She lit up the room. So thankful to get to see this sweet family again. They've been with me since the very beginning and for that I am so so grateful. Enjoy these little snapshots of the love they share. <3

I can't say enough how much I have loved getting to know this family over the past couple of years. I first met them when we did a maternity session for their first son, then his birth and the rest is history. I've photographed them several times and I always love getting to spend time with them. I love seeing parents blossom into motherhood and fatherhood and as special as it is to see and spend time with a first time mom, I adore seeing a mother settle into motherhood with more than one child. It totally changes the dynamics of your family and stretches you in new ways. Your heart grows with even more love than you knew you had in you. It's amazing how that happens. <3 Enjoy this sweet newborn session with baby Luke and his crew. He is such a blessed little boy. Blessings to you guys and Congrats! This session was styled by Nicole Wise Styling.
A couple of weeks ago I was honored to photograph this family's second birth. I am always amazed at the strength, determination and beauty of a woman as she brings her baby into this world and this day was no different. I have been so lucky to have been able to get to know this family over the past couple of years after I photographed the birth of their first son and it was just as much a privilege to spend the day documenting their second birth as it was the first. I am over the moon for this family, seeing them become a family of 4. Congratulations! I did things a little differently this time and put the slideshow video at the beginning of the post because I just loved the video clips and didn't want you to miss them. Then you can also scroll through the images. Enjoy this beautiful day!
My first session of the year was shooting this sweet little guy and his family for his first birthday party. It was perfectly done. Beautiful home with adorable decorations and lots of friends and family to celebrate this little one. Happy Birthday Nash!
I get to share a really special birth story with you tonight. It is always such an honor to photograph a birth because it's such an intimate day for a family. The days your children are born are right up there with your wedding day. It's one of the most important days. So, to be invited into that space is very special to me. And this family is so incredibly special to me. For starters, I photographed the birth of their last son and I've been able to photograph them several times in between there. I've had the incredible blessing of getting to know them and they are the real deal. Incredibly loving, generous spirits, hearts for Jesus. Spending time with them during 2 births has truly been like spending a morning with great friends. Two years ago this Spring, I photographed Ashley's brother Hunter and his beautiful bride Amber for their wedding. I had never done a wedding before and they called me the Tuesday before Easter to say Hunter and Amber were coming in town and decided to get married and they wondered if I would consider photographing it on Saturday....in 4 days. Ha! Since they promised me it would be a really small wedding and I just loved their family so much, I agreed. Let me tell you, I have never seen two people more in love. I still remember when I was photographing them after the wedding alone, I could have sworn they forgot I was there. They were just so happy to be together. It was such a special day and I am so grateful I got to document it for them. Two weeks before this birth story unfolded, Ashley's brother Hunter passed away tragically. The weeks that followed were excruciatingly painful for Ashley and her family as they mourned their incredible loss. Those two weeks, the Lord sustained Ashley's pregnancy and she was able to deliver after they had returned home from their travels.
Ashley wanted me to include..." After a minor complication, I was sent for induction on the two week anniversary of his passing. It was both a joyful and heartbreaking experience. My family, including my brother's wife and child were able to make it shortly after delivery. We changed Judah's name from Jonathan Judah to Judah Hunter, in his honor. We were so grateful that you had met him briefly and were no stranger to the full circle experience that was Judah's birth. We truly believe you were meant to be our birth photographer for this birth and that the Lord began orchestrating that years before we could even comprehend the steps."
The Lord truly was present on this day. I got to see this family experience joy through an incredibly painful circumstance. The day was filled with love and laughter and full of joy. Judah Hunter is a very blessed boy to be surrounded by such a loving family. I pray for continued peace and comfort that only our Father can bring for this family. Congratulations Williams family! Looking forward to seeing your family grow in the Lord.
*Ashley wanted me to also include a few photos from Hunter and Amber's wedding.
Now for this family's beautiful birth story..... Be sure to watch the video at the end. Enjoy!
This family. Oh my goodness. I just love getting to photograph them. Their newborn session is still my absolute favorite. You can see that here. So, I was so excited to photograph them for their one year pictures. I love shooting clients at home. It is just so relaxed and comfortable and I always feel like it shows in their images. Thank you so much Noll family for letting me photograph your beautiful family again! Enjoy these sweet photos...
Oh my goodness how I love this family. They are so special to me because they were my very first clients. I know I say that every time I photograph them but it is so special to me because they were the first people to trust me with their family memories and that is so special to me. I love photographing them more and more each time because they are just so easy. I mean, really. They are crazy about each other and it shows. And that makes me a very, very happy photographer. Love you guys. Enjoy your photos.
Fall is my favorite and busiest time of year and one of the reason I love it so much is because I get to meet so many new and wonderful families. This family is the perfect example. They were so sweet and easy to photograph. Their love for their sweet baby girl is all over their faces. I loved hearing mom at our session keep saying to her daughter "I could just eat you up with a spoon!" I totally know the feeling and I love seeing that love come through in photographs. Our session was a little different because shortly in the sky grew very dark and scary and we ended up running for the cars! We met back up the very next night to finish our session but I love how we got this beautiful dramatic light the first night and a gorgeous sun filled session the very next night. Enjoy these photos of a very sweet family! Happy Birthday Ms. M! Style by Nicole Wise Styling
I get asked all the time what is my favorite thing to photograph and besides my own family, it would have to be families. I have truly fallen in love with family photography. Maybe it's because I'm a mother with a young family and I know how good, wonderful, crazy and hard these days are. And how I want to remember how special they were with all my heart. Every time I'm with a family I feel like there is so much there for me to capture. So much connection, so many emotions, especially with little ones. ha! And I'm so thankful that I'm at a place where I am attracting the clients that get what I do and want me to do what I do, which is to put all those wonderful elements into photographs, even if that doesn't mean everyone looking at the camera with perfect smiles. So, for that I thank you. Now to this wonderful family. I've been able to photograph this sweet family several times and I've also been privileged to shoot births with Alissa because she is a doula with Open Heart Doula, which is really an incredible group of women who have some of the most beautiful servants hearts and have such a passion and love for mothers. Do check them out! I hope you enjoy these photos of this gorgeous family!
Happy Birthday today to this sweet little guy! It has been so fun to see him grow throughout his first year. What a blessed little guy to have such a wonderful family. Happy Birthday Camden!
I love photographing families over the course of a babies first year. It is so much fun to get to see how they've changed and grown. I had the best time catching up with these guys last week and celebrating their baby girl's first year. They always have me cracking up! Happy Birthday sweet girl!
I recently got to photograph this family for the second time this year to celebrate Ms. Sophie's 1st birthday. This family is so sweet. It has been an honor to photograph you guys this year. Blessings to you as you celebrate your sweet girl.
Ok, so I'm a little behind on sharing my 365 over here on the blog. I haven't shared in like 3 or 4 months! Yikes! So, I thought I'd share some of my favorites from the past few months. I know, it's still a lot. :) I am loving this project. I feel like it has given me such a huge creative push and a big bonus is that I love the images I have of my family. I did miss a day this past week actually. I couldn't believe it! But, it happened and it's ok. I'm gonna keep going. Truthfully, I wasn't sure I'd make it to 100 days so breaking 200 recently was awesome! I encourage you mamas out there to document your everyday with your kiddos. If you want some of my tips, you can check out this blog post here. Happy shooting!
I'll go ahead and warn you. This post is LONG. Last night I went through all my pictures of my Reid over this past year and I literally tried to narrow my favorites down and I'm sorry, but this is as good as I could do. :) I am sitting here with tears in my eyes and just in disbelief that this first year is already over. Its funny how with the first baby you are looking forward to seeing your child complete each milestone but with your second and even more so with your third, for me, all you want to do is for time to slow down. To keep them little. This first year with my little buddy has been great. It's been hard at times, overwhelming pretty much everyday, but through all that, I've been stretched in new ways, grown in my relationship with the Lord and refined as a mother. It is such a gift to see my older kids love him. Remember the way you felt when you fell in love with your first child when they were placed in your arms and you got to fall more and more in love with them with every passing day? Well, to me, seeing that same love from my older kids towards Reid is like that feeling times a billion. It is just the best. All throughout my pregnancy with Reid, I felt the Lord confirming this verse to me for Reid's verse "Blessed be the Lord because He has heard the voice of my supplication! The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices. And with my song, I will praise Him." Psalm 28:6-7 Happy Birthday Baby. ~ Mama
It has been a joy to photograph this sweet baby girl and her family since she was in her mama's tummy. I seriously feel so blessed to get to do multiple sessions with family throughout the course of their baby's first year and beyond. I have loved getting to watch this sweet girl grow. Happy First Birthday Ms. Savannah!
This family is so special. I have absolutely loved photographing them through out this past year. We've done maternity, birth, newborn, 3months, 6months, 9 months and now this sweet boys One year session. What a blessing it has been to watch him grow and to see his family grow more and more in love with him. Blessings to your sweet family. It has been an honor to photograph you this year.
I got to meet up with this sweet family a couple of weeks ago to celebrate their little guy turning one. On his Birthday even! They are such a gorgeous family. Happy Birthday little man!

From Maternity, Newborn, 4 months, 8 Months and now his One year portraits. And I have loved every session with them. They are so easy on me. It has been a blast and I look forward to working with your family for years to come! Enjoy this sweet family.
I love to photograph this family. This was the third time I've been able to photograph them and it's always so easy to get great connections with them because they are crazy in love with each other. The last time I saw them was right after little Ms T was born for her newborn photos and it was so awesome to get to photograph them again for her first birthday. Happy Birthday baby girl!
Every time I have photographed this family has been magic. They just love each other so much. It's so easy to get those beautiful natural connections with them in their photographs because it's just who they are! I loved getting to photograph this sweet baby girl throughout her first year. It has been so fun to see her grow and get to hang out with her awesome family. Enjoy this family's sweet one year session with their girl.
