Come and be here in the present moment,

Come and be reminded of all that is beautiful and true.

All the things fear wants you to forget.

-Morgan Harper Nichols

A beautiful morning with this precious family seeing them live fully present in this season with their new baby girl. Blessings to you McCafferty family. <3

I had the honor of photographing this incredibly talented mama and her family as they welcomed their first babe into their family this fall. Anne is the creative art director at Altrd State and I probably spent a whole afternoon watching her instastories after her inquiry. Go see for yourself and you’ll understand. She has the most incredibly creative brain and is responsible for the window displays at Altrd State’s retail stores. Seriously seeing what she comes up with is INCREDIBLE. I could have spend the entire afternoon at her session just picking her brain. lol. So, of course I had such an incredible time getting to know her and her husband and of course the star of the show, little Behr. <3 Congratulations Thomas family!

“There are divine things, more beautiful than words can tell.” - Walt Whitman

Time spent with this family is time well spent. I first met them when they brought their twins home and I’ve been fortunate to see them blossom into a beautiful family. It does a heart good to be around families that love each other in a deep deep way, and these are those people. Congrats Noll fam, you guys are such a wonderful family. <3

I’m completely in love with this session for lots of reasons but mostly because my time with this beautiful family was so natural and honest. Kids playing all around, making coffee, practicing piano while mama fed the baby, warming up supper as I finished up. Just a beautiful piece of their story captured on an early spring afternoon. Congrats Meek family. It was a blessing to photograph you guys.

My heart. This session is what my heart longs for more of. It was the most special of days getting to be at the hospital during the first 24 hrs after this sweet 4th babe was born and getting to witness her family meeting her. Congratulations Cromer family!

Four. This little sweet forth baby in this family rounds them out. He fits right in. The perfect little missing puzzle piece. I'm so glad I got to be there just hours after his birth to experience the thick excitement in the air as his family welcomed him into this world. You're one very lucky boy little Silas, they are going to love you well. <3

Jackson Family Fresh 48 Hospital Newborn session >>> Knoxville Newborn Photographer

I am completely in love with fresh 48 hospital sessions. I feel so lucky to get to preserve this incredibly special time for families. I loved getting to spend a little time with the Jackson family a little over a week ago documenting some of their early moments as a family of 4. I was so glad grandparents got to be there as well! I think it's safe to say that everyone is completely smitten with this little bundle. :) Enjoy these photos of their day! 2015-02-24_00012015-02-24_00022015-02-24_00032015-02-24_00042015-02-24_00052015-02-24_00062015-02-24_00072015-02-24_00082015-02-24_00092015-02-24_00102015-02-24_00112015-02-24_00122015-02-24_00132015-02-24_00142015-02-24_0015

Leuciuc Family Fresh 48 Hospital Newborn Session >>> Knoxville Newborn Photographer

Last week I had the honor of photographing this beautiful family as they welcomed their newest baby into the family. Mom and Dad waited until I could get there to bring the two big sisters in to meet their new bundle. It was seriously the most precious moment. I feel like as a photographer, I am always learning more about what I love to shoot and what really makes me excited and this winter I've been doing lots of thinking on that. Over and over I keep feeling like one of the words I would use to describe the way I want my work to resonate with others is honest. I get most excited about my work when it is real, authentic and honest. Real smiles (or tears), authentic moments, honest life. Because that's what I want to remember, don't you? Don't you want to remember days like this forever just they way they really were? I am so excited to be offering these sessions now because days like these are the exact ones I want to document for my clients so that they have these incredibly beautiful moments forever. Enjoy these photographs of this wonderful family.... 2015-02-19_00012015-02-19_00022015-02-19_00032015-02-19_00042015-02-19_00052015-02-19_00062015-02-19_00072015-02-19_00082015-02-19_00092015-02-19_00102015-02-19_00112015-02-19_00122015-02-19_00132015-02-19_00142015-02-19_00152015-02-19_00162015-02-19_0017
