I met Laura on the inter webs over our mutual love for film photography and I can’t even believe I had the awesome privilege of photographing her and her boys when I was in New York City this fall. When she reached out to me she told me she wasn’t concerned at all about where we were or if it looked quintessentially NYC. But rather, she just wanted the focus to be on her love for her boys and man oh man was that something to see. Time spent with this family is time well spent. I first met them when they brought their twins home and I’ve been fortunate to see them blossom into a beautiful family. I met Amy several years ago at a photography workshop and we’ve kept up over the years and had lunch when we head up to NYC. This year I was over the moon to get to photograph her family on our trip up this fall. We went into our session expecting to shoot in Central Park but it was in the 30s all day so we moved it to Amy’s home last minute. As excited as I was to shoot in Central Park, I can honestly say that I was not one bit disappointed. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Home is always my favorite location. It was truly a thing of beauty to watch Amy love on her family. Thanks for having me Nolan family!
